পঙ্গুত্বের কাছে হার মানেনি সুমাইয়া ! অটুট মনোবল আর অদম্য ইচ্ছাশক্তিতে ভর করে সামনের দিকে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে সুমাইয়া। by Durbar Bagerhat on July 04 জন্ম থেকে দুই পা নেই। তাতে কি হয়েছে, অটুট মনোবল আর অদম্য ইচ্ছাশক্তিতে ভর করে সামনের দিকে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছে কলেজ পড়ুয়া সুমাইয়া। মায়ের কোলে চড়ে স্কুলের গন্ডি পেরিয়ে কলেজে অধ্যায়নরত সুমাইয়া স্বপ্ন দেখছেন চাকরী করে হতদরিদ্র বাবা-মায়ের মুখে হাসি ফোটানোর। সুমাইয়ার বসতঘর ও সরকারি চাকরীর জন্য সহায়তার দাবি জানিয়েছেন পরিবার ও স্থানীয়রা। বাগেরহাটের মোরেলগঞ্জ উপজেলার প্রত্যান্ত কচুবুনিয়া গ্রামের রিপন হাওলাদের মেয়ে সুমাইয়া (২২)। জন্ম থেকে দুই পা না থাকা সুমাইয়ার জীবন সংগ্রামের গল্প হার মানায় সিনেমাকেও। সকালে কলেজে যাওয়ার আগে নিজেকে পরিপাটি করে সাজিয়ে নেয় দুই পা না থাকা সুমাইয়া। এরপর ব্যাগ গুছিয়ে মায়ের কোলে চড়ে সুমাইয়ার যাত্রা কলেজের উদ্দেশ্যে। সাকোঁ ও সড়ক পথে প্রায় সাড়ে তিন কিলোমিটার পথ পাড়ি দিয়ে পৌছায় কলেজে। মেয়েকে কোলে নিয়ে মা যখন বেঞ্চে বসিয়ে দেয় সহপাঠিদের সাথে তখন খুনসুটিতে মেতে উঠে সুমাইয়া। তবে মেয়ের স্বপ্ন পূরণ করতে বর্গা চাষি বাবা আজ-অবধি তৈরি করতে পারেননি থ

ষাট গম্বুজ মসজিদ  ষাটগম্বুজ মসজিদ বাংলাদেশের সুলতানি মসজিদগুলির মধ্যে বৃহত্তম এবং সমগ্র ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশের অন্যতম চিত্তাকর্ষক মুসলিম নিদর্শন। এটি জনৈক খান আল-আজম উলুগ খান জাহানকে দায়ী করা হয়, যিনি দক্ষিণ বাংলার বৃহত্তর অংশ জয় করেছিলেন এবং শাসক সুলতান নাসিরুদ্দিন মাহমুদ শাহ (1435-59) এর সম্মানে এলাকার নামকরণ করেছিলেন খলিফাতাবাদ। খান জাহান 1459 সালে তার মৃত্যুর আগ পর্যন্ত বর্তমান বাগেরহাটের সাথে চিহ্নিত হাভেলী-খলিফাতাবাদে প্রশাসনের আসন নিয়ে এই অঞ্চল শাসন করেছিলেন। সময়ের সাথে সাথে এমন একটি দুর্দান্ত ভবনটি শোচনীয়ভাবে ক্ষয়িষ্ণু অবস্থায় পরিণত হয়েছিল। তবে এটা সৌভাগ্যের বিষয় যে ব্রিটিশ সরকার এর পুনরুদ্ধার ও মেরামতের জন্য ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে এবং প্রক্রিয়াটি পাকিস্তান ও বাংলাদেশের প্রত্নতত্ত্ব বিভাগের ধারাবাহিক তত্ত্বাবধানে চলতে থাকে। 1980-এর দশকের গোড়ার দিকে ইউনেস্কোর অনুরোধে এই ঐতিহাসিক স্মৃতিস্তম্ভটিকে রক্ষা করার জন্য একটি কার্যকর দীর্ঘমেয়াদী কর্মসূচি হাতে নেওয়া হয়েছিল এবং কাজটি প্রায় শেষের দিকে। পরিকল্পনা ও বর্ণনা মূলত একটি বাইরের দেয়াল দ্বারা ঘেরা মসজিদটি বর্তমান বাগেরহাট শহ

Bagerhat District Brief Information and Places of Interest-  Bagerhat is a district in southwestern Bangladesh. It belongs to Khulna division. Bagerhat district is divided into 9 upazila. The first settlers in Bagerhat were the non-Aryans. These include the Austrians and Dravidians from the Mediterranean region and the Mongolian Alpine. The Paundrakshatriya community is a great example of the non-Aryan influence in this region. People of this community live in different places of this district especially in Rampal upazila. Pundra is a corruption of the word Pura or pod. The word Pandora is a Dravidian word meaning sugarcane. The people of the Namasudra community belonging to the non-Aryan class also live in large numbers in Bagerhat. Their former name is Chandal. They come from Barind region and live here. Mongla is located 48 kilometres (30 mi) from the city of Khulna, which is a regional industrial center. Due to increasing congestion in Bangladesh's largest port in Chittagong, many international shipping companies have turned to Mongla as an alternative. Mongla is a gateway for tourist ships traveling to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the region, including the Sundarbans and the Mosque City of Bagerhat.
