BNP is not on people's side: Sheikh Tonmoy Durbar Bagerhat September 20, 2023 Sheikh Tonmoy, MP for Bagerhat-2, has slammed the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) for increasing its engagement with various embassies instead of engaging with the people. "The BNP has been nowhere to be seen during the COVID pandemic or the recent floods," Tonmoy said. "Their leaders are all abroad, and they don't care about the development of the country. Elections will be held on time, and the people are with us. The Awami League will win again under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina." Tonmoy made these remarks on Sunday while inaugurating the office of Sadar Upazila Awami League at Bagerhat Khanjahan (R.H.) shrine.
