The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced on Sunday that American gymnast Jordan Chiles will be stripped of her bronze medal in the floor exercise at the Paris Games, with the medal being awarded to Romanian gymnast Ana Bărbosu. This decision follows a ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Saturday, which determined that the USA’s inquiry into Chiles’ score in the floor exercise final was filed after the one-minute deadline. The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) confirmed that Chiles’ original score of 13.666 would be reinstated, placing Bărbosu, who scored 13.700, in third place.
