Hundreds of people are flocking to see this house every day. Not only is the house livable, it is stronger than other concrete houses and is a safe and earthquake resistant shelter, said Iqbal Hossain, a member of the Bangladesh Physical Challenge cricket team who is physically challenged. Iqbal Hossain, son of deceased Ilyas Hossain of village Kalika bari of Ballibunia Union of Iqbal Upazila, is a cricket team member by profession. On his father's two-and-a-half-century land, he built a one-story building with a three-story foundation from 9 kg (seventy thousand) bottles purchased from a plastic bottle vendor and collected from YouTube in order to preserve the balance and tolerance of the environment using Japanese technology and methods. Instead of bricks, these walls are being built with cement mortar in rows of plastic bottles. The house is fondly named the bottle house. In the beginning, they laughed and laughed at this method of building a house with bottles, but now the locals are proud of the house. According to the locals, Iqbal filled these bottles collected from different places in a truck and stored them. When asked, he said, I will build a house. At first there was a lot of laughter and jokes about this, but now the house has really been built. There is only one such house in the district. Many people come to see the house. Iqbal is proud of such a work area, while masons and workers are happy to be able to build a house in a novel way. Khulna mason Khokon Tarafder said, I have been working as a mason for ten years, building a house with bottles is the first house construction work is very strong. There will be no damage to the house in natural calamities. It is possible to build this house at least thirty percent less cost than brick-cement brick house. He bought bottles from different shops and filled them with sand and built walls with cement mortar. With these bottles filled with sand, a foundation of more than two and a half feet from the ground is made and walls are built on it. He said that the walls of the house will be cold in summer and warm in winter. The bottling house under construction started in November last year. This building has four rooms around 2,600 square meters. Each room has a bottle decoration with a Bangladesh map, the national flag and the English word Bangladesh written on it. In the year 2020, Iqbal Hossain was noticed by Wasek Mohammad Ali, managing director of a private bank. Iqbal Hossain said that Wasek Mohammad Ali gave him four and a half lakh takas for a normal life and to build a safe residence. He also gave him seven thousand takas per month for running the family for a consecutive year. With that money, he started the construction of a homestead with an exceptional design.
Five and a half lakh rupees have been spent to build the house so far. Another two lakh rupees will be required to complete the work of one floor with roof. He said that the work is stopped now due to lack of money. Once the work on one floor is finished, he will leave the hut and take his old mother and younger brother to that house.
